Dungeon commendations and the Sanctuary Hall of Fame

Understand commendation eligibility, Sanctuary party limits and the permanent record of the first three clears.
Practical walkthrough
- Defeat the final bossMeet contribution and membership requirements in an eligible dungeon.
- Choose player and reasonUse the time-limited window to give one commendation.
- Read the right recordCommendations appear in character information; Hall of Fame is on the Sanctuary entry screen.
Two different systems
The September 9 Korean patch adds post-dungeon commendations and a Hall of Fame for a specific Sanctuary. A commendation is a teammate's choice; the Hall of Fame records eligible boss completions. One does not automatically award the other.
When commendations open
The window appears after the final boss in Expedition, Transcendence, Trial and Sanctuary. It can be used once per clear by selecting a player and a reason. The window is time-limited; this guide does not invent a numerical duration absent from the source.
Eligibility
| Action | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Give a commendation | Sufficient contribution and party/dungeon membership at the final kill |
| Receive one | The same contribution and membership conditions |
| Sanctuary candidates | Members of your own party |
| Accumulation | Per character, visible in character information |
Do not assume that everyone in the larger Sanctuary force appears in the same candidate list. Distinguish the immediate party from the larger group. Membership at the kill matters when evaluating a departure before completion.
Hall of Fame encounter
The eligible encounter is hard difficulty Snowfield of Lament. It records the first, second and third final-boss clears across all servers. Characters without contribution are excluded. This is not a record of each player's first three personal wins.
Recorded information
The record includes character, server, legion and class, the highest combat power and item level reached during the run, force order, date and completion time. Later name changes do not rewrite the historic entry. View it through the Hall of Fame tab at the upper left of the Sanctuary entry screen.
Interpreting the result
Commendations are player feedback, not a measured performance score. Likewise, a current profile name differing from a historic Hall of Fame entry does not by itself indicate an error. Identify which system a screenshot or guide is referring to.
Which result are you looking at?
| Question | System to inspect | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Did a teammate commend me? | Commendations in character information | Player feedback, not a measured damage or healing ranking. |
| Was this run among the historic first three? | The relevant Sanctuary's Hall of Fame | Eligible clears across servers, not your personal attempt count. |
| Why is the legion name outdated? | The permanent record from the run | Subsequent name changes do not rewrite the entry. |
Worked example: different parties in one force
Suppose two players finish a Sanctuary in the same force but belong to different parties. Commendation candidates are limited to your own party, so the other player being absent is not by itself an interface error. Check party membership first, then contribution and membership at the final boss kill. Do not treat commendation candidates and a Hall of Fame run roster as the same list: they serve different purposes.
- Select both the player and the reason when giving a commendation.
- Include activity, difficulty, party and completion time when reporting a problem.
- Keep the run date visible when sharing a historic entry so it is not mistaken for a current profile.
