Terms of use
The rules for using GoffMeta: who may join, what you may publish, what guild staff are responsible for, and what we can and cannot promise.
The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and the private individual who runs GoffMeta as a non-commercial fan site (“we”). By creating an account or using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy policy and the cookie page.
An unofficial fan site
GoffMeta is an independent fan site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or approved by NCSOFT (NC Corporation) or by any other game publisher or platform named on the site. Aion, Aion 2 and the other game names, logos, art and material shown on the site belong to their owners and are used only to identify the games and talk about them.
Who may use it
You must be at least 15 years old to create an account, and we refuse registration under that age. You are responsible for the truth of the date of birth you give. We close an account that belongs to someone younger. When Law No. 7578 and its regulation require age verification, we will apply the method they prescribe, and you agree to complete it to keep using your account.
Your account
- Keep your password and sign-in codes to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
- One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone, including other players, guilds, publishers or our staff.
- Linking an account from Steam, Discord or another platform is optional. Their own terms apply to your use of them.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account.
What you publish
You keep ownership of what you publish: posts, comments, builds, tier lists, guides, wiki pages and clips. You grant us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce, display, adapt for display (for example resize or reformat) and make available to the public what you publish, on the site and in its apps, for as long as it is published. We may not sell it or use it outside GoffMeta without your permission.
Guides, builds and wiki pages are shared work others build on. For them the licence continues after you delete your account, and what you published there stays, without your name on it. For everything else the licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
You are responsible for what you publish, and you confirm you have the right to publish it. Copying other sites' guides or translations without permission is not allowed.
Rules of conduct
Do not use GoffMeta to:
- harass, threaten or insult anyone, or publish hate speech;
- publish anything illegal, sexual content involving minors, or other people's personal data without their consent;
- infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- sell accounts, in-game currency or items for real money, or promote cheats, bots or exploits;
- send spam, or read the site with bots, scrapers or other automated tools except through the API we provide;
- get around a restriction we or a guild's staff have placed on you.
Breaking these rules can lead to the content being removed, the account being limited or, for serious or repeated breaches, closed.
Guilds
A guild's owner and moderators decide who joins and what the guild publishes. They are responsible, towards the members concerned and anyone else, for the records they keep in the guild, including applications, events and the treasury, and for keeping them accurate and lawful. GoffMeta provides the tool; it removes a record that breaks these terms once it learns of it.
A guild treasury is a record of what its staff declare. It moves no in-game items and no real money, and GoffMeta does not check that what is recorded is true.
Application answers are seen by the guild's staff. Do not put anything in them you would not share with the guild.
Reports and takedown
Anyone can report content that breaks these rules. We may remove content, limit what an account can do, or close it, and we tell the account why and how to object.
As the hosting provider of what users publish, we do not check content before it appears, but we remove unlawful content once we are notified of it, under Law No. 5651. Send takedown notices, including those about a violation of your personal rights, to privacy@goffmeta.com, with the address of the content and why it is unlawful. We answer within the periods Law No. 5651 sets and comply with decisions of courts and authorities.
Intellectual property
The site's software, design, name and our own texts belong to the operator of GoffMeta or its licensors; do not copy them without permission. Game data shown on the site comes from public sources and is credited where it appears. Trademark notices required by a game's owner are printed on that game's pages. If you believe something on the site infringes your rights, use the takedown route above.
Liability
GoffMeta is free and provided as it is. Game data, builds and guides can be out of date or wrong. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available or free of errors, and we may change or end a feature.
We are not liable for content published by users, for the records guild staff keep, or for platforms you link, except where we fail our own duties once notified. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for damage caused by slight negligence. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for intent or gross negligence (Article 115 of the Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098), for harm to life or health, or any right you have as a consumer under Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection or other mandatory law.
Changes and ending
We may change these terms. We publish the new text on this page with its date and announce a change that affects you on the site and by email at least 15 days before it takes effect, unless the law or your security requires it sooner. If you do not accept a change, you can delete your account before it takes effect; using the site after that means you accept it. You may stop using the site and delete your account at any time.
Governing law
Turkish law governs these terms. The Istanbul courts and enforcement offices have jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer, this does not take away your right to apply to the consumer arbitration committee or the consumer court of your place of residence under Law No. 6502, nor the mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live in the European Union.
