The October 14 maintenance on the global Aion 2 servers brought the first Halloween event, server transfers and a cheaper route to Abyss Rift Stones. The servers went down at 08:30 CEST (06:30 UTC) for about four hours, and the client patch is around 30 GB. The same day NCSOFT published a letter from the producers. It confirms that a character's first server transfer is free and that Ludra is on its way back.
Server transfers open, and the first one is free
The early access transfer period runs from this maintenance to the next one on October 21. A second period, for the servers opened at launch, follows until October 28. Transfers are open only at set hours each day, and a server stops taking transfers once its quota is full:
- Europe: 10:00–14:00 and 16:00–20:00 UTC
- North America East and West, South America: 16:00–20:00 and 22:00–02:00 UTC
- Asia: 03:00–07:00 and 09:00–13:00 UTC
Your character takes its inventory, Character Storage, Kina, skins and Daeva Pass progress with it. Server Storage stays behind, so move anything you need into the character first. On arrival the name changes to a temporary one, and you choose a new one at your first login.
While transfers are open, the Wind Breeze Merchants shop changes. Instant Clear Ticket: Daily Dungeon and Soul Crystal move to Substance Morph. Odyle Energy loses its 16-per-server weekly cap and becomes 20 per character per week, up from 4.
Halloween runs until November 4
The event lasts until the maintenance on November 4. Everything in it pays out in Halloween Pumpkin Coins:
- Trick or Treat attendance: 14 days. 35 coins a day, and 100 on days 7 and 14.
- Weekly event missions: 20 to 30 coins each, once per server per week. They cover Abyss hunting, Transcendence, Expedition, Ascension Trial, Nightmare, Dimensional Invasion and the Shugo Festival.
- Coin Merchant: found in Verteron (Dawn Legion Base, Zumion Village) and Altgard (Safe Haven, Nornir Assembly).
The best buy is the Special Halloween Chest at 250 coins. It gives the Spooky Scary Skeleton breastplate skin and 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals. The merchant also sells weekly Odyle Energy, Lower Abyss Rift Stones, Nightmare Dungeon Challenge Tickets and Shugo Festival Reward Keys.
Expedition and Transcendence runs also drop Candy Key Fragments. Sixty fragments make a Red, Yellow or Blue Candy Key, each once per server per week. The candies in town give Growth Pet Chests, 10,000 Abyss Points or four Odyle Energy.
Conquerors of the Abyss
Until October 28, characters at level 45 or above can buy an Abyss Rift Stone (Event) for 50,000 Kina in the Wind Breeze Merchants Special tab. The limit is seven per character per week. A Lower Abyss Rift Stone is also sold there for two weeks.
Class fixes
Spiritmaster: Ancient Spirit summons at level 15 or below now use their skills properly.
Sorcerer: 
Fire Wall and 
Cold Storm now deal their bonus damage when you fight on different heights. Another player's stronger Embers or Frostbite no longer removes yours. Bittercold Wind's Frost cooldown cut now works across heights too.
Other changes
The Abyss entry timer now stores up to 7 hours. Two weekly Abyss Season Missions, Spend 1 Hour in the Abyss and Defeat Guardian Lord Nahma, now give Abyss Entry Stones. Large Abyss battles should stutter less, and Battlefield stats were adjusted so fights last a sensible length.
The settings add an inverted Y-axis and a switch for your own HP bar. Fixes cover crashes on some 4K refresh rates, slow loading with FSR, wrong settings on PCs with two graphics cards, and positions resetting on reconnect during the Shugo Festival. Graphics settings are no longer saved to Steam Cloud.
The shop has new Halloween items for real money: three outfit sets at $29.99, class weapon skins at $11.99, and the Pumpkin Carriage and Little Ghost pets and Spider Wings at $19.99 each. Masks and face paint cost 300 Quna each.

- Claim the Trick or Treat attendance every day.
- Save 250 coins for the Special Halloween Chest.
- Buy your seven Abyss Rift Stones before October 28.
- Move items out of Server Storage before you transfer.
