Cleric PvE build: skills, stigmas, boards and gear priorities

Heal by hand, let the macro hit: which Cleric skills to level, which stigmas to run with a static or a random group, and where every board node, arcana and soul binding should go.
Who plays it
The
Cleric is the one class every PvE group wants. You keep five people alive with a mace and a guard, and when nobody is taking damage you hit harder than most players expect. Two jobs, one bar: heal when it is needed, attack the rest of the time.
The setup below matches our Cleric PvE build. Left click
Earth's Retribution, right click
Judgment Thunder, Q holds
Chain of Torment under
Condemnation, the stigmas sit on 1 to 4, damage skills on 5 to 8,
Light of Regeneration on E.
Skills
Specialization picks: each skill takes up to three. The first three options open at skill level 8, the fourth at 12, the fifth at 16, counting levels from boards and gear.
| Skill | Aim for | Picks | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20 | 2 / 4 / 5 | Your main hit. Only fires on a target with Chain of Torment, 3s cooldown. Pick 4 gives a 75% chance to reset on hit, so it fires again and again; 2 adds up to 12% on a single boss, 5 makes it Multi-Hit. | |
| 20 | 3 / 4 / 5 | Charged nuke on a 45s cooldown. 3 makes the charge 30% faster, 4 adds up to 20% against few targets. 5 resets it on a kill: useful in trash, idle on bosses. | |
| 20 | 1 / 2 / 5 | No cooldown, sits on right click and fills every gap. 1 cuts its MP cost by 20%, 2 adds single-target damage, 5 fires Divine Punishment one extra time. | |
Passives
Four passives carry the damage and healing. Level them in this order:
- Critical Hit, Double Chance and an extra damage proc on every hit. It is the passive gear and arcana ask for again and again.
- Critical Damage Boost and Accuracy. Accuracy is the stat Clerics run short of first.
Our build then takes
Immortal Veil and
Radiant Benediction to 10 as well, followed by
Survival Willpower,
Prayer of Concentration,
Empyrean Lords' Benediction and
Stigmas
Two layouts. Pick by who you play with, not by the boss.
| Slot | Damage layout (static group) | Safe layout (random group) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | ||
| 2 | ||
| 3 | Prayer of Amplification |
The damage layout is our build's. Use the safe one in random groups, in the Horn dungeons and in Transcendence while people still stand in things.
Earth Punishment: take 1, 2, 3. Pick 1 makes Condemnation always crit on the marked target, which is the whole reason this stigma is on the bar. 2 and 3 put Double Chance, Attack and Defense on Earth's Blessing for the party.
Light of Protection: a toggle that raises PvE Damage Boost and Damage Tolerance for the party. Take 1, 2, 3: Incoming Heal, Accuracy, Max HP.
Prayer of Amplification: 20% Attack for 10s. Pick 2 multiplies Empyrean Lord's Grace by 1.5 for the duration; pick 5 adds PvE Damage Boost once you reach it.
Noble Aura: a pet aura that follows you for 300s and attacks your target. Set it up before the pull.
Benevolence: party heal over time. 1 makes it last 30s, 3 adds 4% HP every 5s, 4 cleanses every 5s.
Summon Resurrection
Playing next to a Chanter
The
Chanter and the Cleric share two buffs, and they do not stack.
| Cleric | Chanter | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Only one applies: the higher skill level wins, and at equal level the Chanter's does. | ||
| Earth's Blessing (from | While Power of the Storm runs, it replaces Earth's Blessing. |
With a Chanter whose Mantra is at your level or higher, take Light of Protection off and put in a heal, a shield or Prayer of Amplification. Keep Earth Punishment either way: the guaranteed Condemnation crit is yours alone.
Boards
Each Cleric board sells a skill level for every active skill: one node per skill on
Nezekan (Cleric),
Zikel (Cleric),
Vaizel (Cleric) and
Triniel (Cleric), so four boards add up to +4. Path to the nodes of the skills marked 20 first, then the passives.
| Board | Opens at | Big nodes | Take |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12 | Combat Speed, Attack, Cooldown Reduction, Defense | Combat Speed and Cooldown Reduction before Attack; skill nodes for Condemnation, Bolt, Judgment Thunder, Divine Aura. | |
| 20 | Damage Boost, Accuracy, Damage Tolerance, Evasion | Damage Boost and Accuracy first, Damage Tolerance next. Evasion last. | |
| 30 | Critical Damage Boost, Critical Damage Tolerance | Critical Damage Boost: Condemnation crits every time on a marked target. | |
| 40 | Impact Resist, Impact Accuracy |
Fill the small nodes with Attack and Critical Hit, then HP. Max MP only if you still run dry.
Marchutan (Cleric) and
Yustiel (Cleric) belong to later seasons.
Arcana
Each arcana gives an Empyrean Lord stat and skill levels. Point those levels at the skills on the right.
| Arcana | Lord stat | Skill levels to |
|---|---|---|
| Time | Condemnation, Bolt, then Empyrean Lord's Grace, Earth's Grace | |
| Life | Condemnation, Bolt, Radiant Recovery | |
| Death | Divine Aura, Judgment Thunder | |
| Destruction | Empyrean Lord's Grace | |
| Wisdom | Earth's Grace | |
Death gives Critical Hit and Destruction gives Attack, which is why the Magic Compass and Bell lean on damage. Our build runs
Compass of Vigor (Freedom: Accuracy) and the Vigor Bell instead; that is the right call while your Accuracy is short. Swap to Magic once it is covered.
Gear
Soul binding by slot, best first:
| Slot | Priority |
|---|---|
| Weapon | Weapon Damage Boost > Combat Speed > Might > Precision > Damage Boost > Multi-Hit Chance > Attack |
| Guard | Weapon Damage Boost > Combat Speed > Damage Boost > Might > Precision > Multi-Hit Chance > Attack |
| Helmet | Incoming Heal > Empyrean Lord's Grace > Earth's Grace > Double Chance > Attack % > Critical Hit > Attack |
| Shoulders | Critical Damage Boost > Empyrean Lord's Grace > Earth's Grace > Accuracy > Critical Hit > Attack > Defense % |
| Chest | Damage Boost > Empyrean Lord's Grace > Earth's Grace > Critical Hit > Accuracy > Attack > Defense % |
| Legs | Damage Tolerance > Empyrean Lord's Grace > Earth's Grace > Perfect Chance > Attack % > Critical Hit > Attack |
| Gloves, Boots | Combat Speed > Empyrean Lord's Grace > Earth's Grace > Perfect Chance > Critical Hit > Attack > Defense % |
| Cape | Empyrean Lord's Grace > Earth's Grace > Smite > Double Chance > Attack % > Critical Hit > Attack |
The two passives show up on almost every armour piece for a reason: each slot that levels them pays off on every single hit you land.
Accessories
| Slot | Priority |
|---|---|
| Earrings, Necklace | Empyrean Lord's Grace > Earth's Grace > Might > Precision > Healing Enhancement > Accuracy > Critical Hit > Attack |
| Rings | Condemnation > Bolt > Radiant Recovery > Might > Precision > Divine Aura > Judgment Thunder > Healing Light > Attack |
| Bracelets | Wisdom > Destruction > Time > Illusion > Death > Justice > Life > Space > Freedom > Destiny |
| Brooches | Might > Precision > Accuracy > Critical Hit > Constitution |
| Seals | Attack > Boss Attack > Max Attack > Critical Attack > PvE Attack > Power Shard Damage |
Manastones and enhancing
hageup-maseok and junggeup-maseok only roll basic stats: take Attack, Critical Hit and Accuracy Bonus, as our build does. sanggeup-maseok can also roll the boosts, and then the order changes: Weapon Damage Boost and Critical Damage Boost about equal, then Damage Boost, then Attack.
When choosing between two rolls anywhere: Double Chance > Weapon Damage Boost > Damage Boost > Attack > Accuracy and Critical Hit. Enhance the mace first; it is where most of your damage lives.
Wings
Equip one of these when you have it:
- jamsikdoen-geumbit-nalgae: Max Attack, 5% Multi-Hit Chance, HP.
- gongheoui-talriseura-nalgae: Attack, Accuracy and 4% Cooldown Reduction.
- heosangui-meari-nalgae: Max Attack, Critical Hit, Penetration, 5% Perfect Chance.
Until then, debaui-choesanggeup-nalgae is what our build wears: easy to get and solid. Owned wings keep giving their collection effect, so level these too: pureun-jeongwangui-nalgae, ilkkaeun-geungjiui-nalgae, pureun-padoui-nalgae, tusaui-nalgae, deuramata-dungjiui-nalgae, jamsikdoen-geumbit-nalgae, sup-jeongryeongui-nalgae, heosangui-meari-nalgae, akmongui-nalgae, guwonbateun-tarakui-nalgae, gongheoui-talriseura-nalgae, debaui-choesanggeup-nalgae.
Titles
| Slot | Best | Easier |
|---|---|---|
| Attack | ||
| Defense |
Empty Closet asks for 700 skins. Through Hell and Back is a dungeon clear and also gives Cooldown Reduction, which is why our build runs it.
Theostones and Pantheon
Theostones: identical ones only count once, so the mace and guard take two different ones. Our build runs
Theostone: Tassin's Command and
Theostone: Aultross's Promise. Poison stones such as
Theostone: Santras's Secret do well early; at higher grades the types even out, so take the highest grade you have.
Pantheon:
- Colossus: colossus-of-zikel first (Destruction and Death, Attack and Critical Hit).
- Sculptures: Freedom, Death and Space, such as fafnirs-poison-blood, fragment-of-dream and shard-of-israphel. kromedes-desire is worth its slot too.
- Masterpieces: Illusion and Wisdom, then Life, such as ereshkigals-mirror, muertes-lantern and seed-of-life.
Rotation
Our build's macro presses Q, right click, 5 and left click in that order, about 10 ms apart. Hold it and it chains Chain of Torment into Condemnation, keeps Judgment Thunder and Debilitating Mark going, and weaves in Earth's Retribution for MP.
- Before the pullNoble Aura and Light of Protection on, Divine Aura ready.
- OpenEarth Punishment on the boss, then Prayer of Amplification. Condemnation now crits every time.
- Hold the macrolet it run. Charge Bolt by hand on 7 whenever it comes off cooldown.
Mistakes
- Running Light of Protection next to a Chanter's Mantra at the same level. Yours does nothing; use the slot.
- Using Condemnation without Chain of Torment on the target. It cannot fire. That is why both sit on Q.
- Forgetting Earth Punishment. Without it Condemnation loses its guaranteed crit and your damage drops hard.
- Spending skill levels on Lightning Strike Scattershot before the core skills.
- Taking pick 5 on Earth's Retribution at level 12. It opens at 16.
- Burning Defiance on a hit you could have healed through. It is your only way out of a stun chain.
