The Spiritmaster of the first week at 45: Spiritforged Orb, Bakarma and grey cards, already enough to put Elemental Fusion, Combustion and the Fire Spirit at 16, with one macro key running the spirits.
You stand twenty metres back and let something else take the hits. Each time one of your spirits uses its skill you pick up an element, and that happens when you summon it, when you dismiss it, and on part of its hits too: 15% for the Fire and Water Spirits, 10% for Earth and Wind. Collect four and you get Four Elements for 10 seconds, which lets
Elemental Fusion go out once. That is your biggest hit, and most of what you do in a fight is about getting back to it.
None of your buffs reach the party. They only touch you and your spirit, so a group judges a Spiritmaster on two things: damage and stagger.
This is the version you have the week you hit 45. The story's
Spiritforged Orb, Bakarma from Draupnir, Liberator jewellery and grey cards. Nothing here depends on luck, and it already gets the three skills that carry the class to 16.
Hold
Cold Shock on your left mouse button. It is a three-hit chain that pays you MP back on every press, and from skill level 12 its third hit, Earth Tremor, stacks +2% attack up to five times. Your macro key runs two lines, one after the other, ten milliseconds apart.
| Line | Bottom to top | Why in this order |
|---|---|---|
| Damage, right mouse | Corrode makes the target take more from your spirit, Curse comes back every 8 seconds with its pick, Dimensional Control only lights up after a spirit uses its skill, and Combustion fills every gap | |
| Spirits, Q | Fusion fires the moment it is lit. The three summons each hand you an element on a 15-second cooldown, and the Fire Spirit comes last so it is the one left fighting |
| Skill | At 16 | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| 16 | A 25% chance to get Four Elements straight back after you cast it | |
| 16 | The Ashy Call follow-up, a second hit on the same press | |
| 16 | +20% to every Fire Spirit stat |
Each of these is worth more than a whole extra item at this point. You get there without a single lucky drop.
| Source | Elemental Fusion | Combustion | Fire Spirit |

| Total | 16 | 16 | 16 |
| Stigma | Level | What it gives you now |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | Four Elements on demand, and Spirit's Descent hits half again as often and as hard for 30 seconds | |
| 5 | Your damage window, plus 10% of your HP back when you cast it | |
| 5 | Your spirits deal 25% more to the target for 20 seconds, with damage over time on top | |
| 5 | Extra damage on half your hits for 10 seconds, and 100 Accuracy |
That is exactly the 30 points you have at 45. The first shards you earn after it go into
Summon: Ancient Spirit until 15, where it uses its skill every 5 basic attacks instead of 7.

Spirit Strike is the one to chase: at level 10 it gives you and your spirit +15% PvE damage and 4% Perfect Chance. With three armour lines it ends at 17,
Mental Focus at 17 and
Element Unification at 16. Element Unification stacks crit damage on you and the spirit every time a spirit skill lands.
