Front-line Gladiator on Vakron and an Aulamus Greatsword at +15: Overhead Slam at 18 without a cooldown, Rending Blow paying MP back on crits, and Focused Block buffing the party on every Parry.
A Gladiator stands right in the boss's face. It hits from the front, where
Experienced Counterstrike adds a front damage bonus of its own, and every Parry from
Focused Block gives the whole party a damage buff for 20 seconds. With no Templar around you are the party's buffer and its off-tank at once; with one, you are pure damage standing next to them.
Rage Burst sits at the bottom of the main stack,
Overhead Slam above it and
Rending Blow on top. The lowest skill that is ready always goes first, so Rage Burst fires the moment it is back and turns Overhead Slam on for 10 seconds; Overhead Slam, which has no cooldown from skill level 16, fills that window. Rending Blow covers every gap and, with its level-16 pick, gives you 50 MP back on each crit.
Ruinous Blow stays on its own key so you can slip it in between: it dashes in and gives you Prepare for Battle, 20% more PvE damage and a crit bonus for 20 seconds. The macro needs just two steps, the main stack and Ruinous Blow.
Lunge Stance and
Zikel's Blessing share a slot with Lunge Stance first, and you press them yourself when the boss can actually be hit, not in the middle of a mechanic.
| Skill | Level | What the level gets you |
|---|---|---|
| 18 | The Upward Strike follow-up and no cooldown; the third pick waits for 20 | |
| 19 | Casting on the move and 50 MP per crit, so you can stop holding Keen Strike | |
| 17 | Faster cast and extra damage; ignoring block comes at 20 | |
| 15 | MP on hit, and every hit takes a second off Ruinous Blow |
Skill points stop at 10. The four boards add four levels to each damage skill, the two Aulamus rings carry an Overhead Slam and a Rending Blow line each, and green cards at +3 do the rest: the Parchment leans on Ruinous Blow, the Compass on Rending Blow, and the Chalice spreads one level over all three. Four Primal Vigor cards keep +150 PvE attack while your HP stays above 70%; the Mirror is the Magic Armor one, because its Wisdom means more double hits and its lines are your passives.
The weapon and the guard roll Combat Speed, Weapon Damage Boost and Might. The helm and the cloak take Double Chance and Attack increase, the shoulders Critical Damage Boost, the chest Damage Boost, the gloves Combat Speed and the boots Move Speed. Every armour piece spends its last line on a passive,
Experienced Counterstrike,
Murderous Burst,
Impact Hit or
Attack Preparation, which is how those four end up between 17 and 20. Manastones stay simple: Attack, Critical Hit, Accuracy and HP. Treat accuracy as a floor, not a goal; a blocked Overhead Slam is a wasted one.
