Where

Random spots in Verteron (the Elyos side) and Altgard (the Asmodian side); a server-wide message announces a rift and the map marks it with a vortex.

Requirements

Level 45 or higher.

How to take part

Find the vortex on the map while the portal stands — about ten minutes, with a limited number of entries — step through, and choose PvE or PvP flagging on arrival.

Rewards

The rift quests' experience and Kinah, enemy-side dungeon runs, double Abyss Points for kills inside a rift, and rift PvP achievements that pay Silver Medals.

Tip

Take all seven rift quests from Mino or Uru before you go looking for a portal.

About this activity

A Spacetime Rift is a portal into the other faction's land. From level 45 the rifts open on a fixed schedule: an Asmodian steps from Altgard into Verteron, an Elyos from Verteron into Altgard. For about an hour you quest, hunt and fight on the enemy side, with its guards and its players against you.

Finding the portal

The rift does not wait: the portal stands for a few minutes and shows how many entries it has left, and it closes early once they are used up. A vortex icon marks it on the map the moment it appears.

Inside

On arrival you choose PvE or PvP flagging. PvE keeps other players off you while you quest; PvP joins the open-world faction fight. The NPC guards attack either way, so keep moving.

The quest chain

Elyos start the rift quests with Mino at the Dawn Legion temporary outpost in Verteron; Asmodians with Uru at the Collapsed Chasm in Altgard. The enemy-side dungeon, the Rift Cave, pays Enhancement Stones each run.
