Nightmare dungeons: class ranking

Ten boss stages, each harder than the last. The early stages check gear; the late ones check whether a group can run the same rotation twice under pressure. Tiers follow the Nightmare grade in our class records.

GladiatorMelee DPSNightmare rewards the class with the shortest list of conditions: no stance, no pet, no cast time to protect. Wide greatsword swings do the rest.

TemplarTankUptime, not burst. The long cooldowns are saved for the stage mechanic and never spent on trash. The pull is easy; the third minute is not.

ClericHealerTriage across ten stages. Radiant Recovery heals the party over time every 12 seconds, and every heal costs MP. Mind the resource.

A3 entries

RangerRanged DPSDistance is a defence in the late stages. Deadshot and Gale Arrow reach 20 metres, and the class has escapes when a mechanic lands on it.

SorcererMagic DPSHighest burst at range for the checks that are damage races. Winter's Shackles (45s) is the control that buys a clean cast.

ChanterSupportMantras and buffs for the whole party, a heal when the Cleric is busy. A group that has one goes deeper.

B3 entries

AssassinMelee DPSSingle-target burst fits a boss stage, but the thin margins punish the late-stage mechanics. B here.

SpiritmasterSummonerDamage over time and drains are steady, not fast. The Earth Spirit's enmity is not a substitute for a tank.

BrawlerChains want a target that holds still, and Nightmare bosses move. B in the record; strong once the group has learned the stage.
